What is a Modeling Hub?
Introduction
A collaborative modeling hub is a centralized data portal for modeling challenges. The structured data standards combined with robust hubverse software facilitate rapid validation, ensembling, visualization, and evaluation of model submissions.
One example of a modeling hub is the FluSight Forecasting Hub, which collects short-term forecasts of influenza hospitalizations for US states and territories. Model output data are submitted weekly from teams in academia, industry, and government.
The robust and validated data feed downstream analyses, reports, and dashboards that provide visualizations and evaluations to support modelers and decision makers.
